Natural solutions for cold sores

Cold sores are caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV), a recurring viral infection that affects the skin or mucous membranes. It typically presents as clusters of small blisters, most commonly on the lips, but can also appear on the mouth, genitals, or eyes. The incubation period for HSV is 2 to 12 days, and once an outbreak occurs, it usually lasts for 6-7 days. Cold sores often emerge after minor infections, trauma, or during stressful periods.
